Shell main frame

Bakelite board is often used to manufacture the main frame of the battery pack shell, providing solid support and reliable protection for the battery cells. With its high strength and rigidity, the shell can withstand the weight of the battery and external mechanical loads. When designing the main frame of the shell, bakelite board can be processed into components of different shapes and sizes such as bottom plates, side plates, and top plates according to the size and layout requirements of the battery pack. Subsequently, these components are assembled into a complete shell structure by bolting, gluing or welding. This modular design greatly facilitates the installation, maintenance and upgrading of the battery pack.

Insulating partition

In the battery pack, insulating partitions are usually set to prevent electrical short circuits between different battery cells or between battery cells and the shell. Bakelite board is an ideal material for making insulating partitions, which can effectively isolate each battery cell and ensure that the heat dissipation channel between battery cells is unobstructed. The thickness and shape of the insulating partition can be designed according to the arrangement of the battery and the electrical safety requirements, and the general thickness is between 1-5mm. For example, in some battery packs composed of square batteries, bakelite insulating partitions are placed between adjacent batteries, which not only provide insulation but also do not take up too much space inside the battery pack.

Sealing and protective components

Bakelite board can also be used to manufacture sealing gaskets, protective covers and other components of battery pack shells. Sealing gaskets can ensure the sealing of the battery pack shell, effectively preventing moisture, dust and other impurities from entering the battery pack, thereby avoiding affecting the performance and life of the battery. Protective covers can protect the interfaces, connectors and other parts of the battery pack to prevent damage from external objects. Although these components are small in size, they are crucial to the overall performance and safety of the battery pack. For example, at the charging interface of the battery pack, the Bakelite protective cover can effectively prevent rainwater from splashing into the interface and avoid short circuit accidents.
