What are the differences between process conditions of FR4 material and aluminum substrates?

Aluminum substrates are similar to the single panel process used to make FR4 green sheet in China, mainly without the electroplating process. FR4 epoxy glass sheet is a kind of code of fire resistant material grade. It is a kind of a resin material that must be self-extinguishing in the combustion state, so it is not a material name, but a level of material. So the general FR4 level of epoxy plate material used in the circuit board has a lot of kinds, but most are based on the so-called four functions (Tera - Function) epoxy plate resin, filler (Filler) and composite materials made of glass fiber.

Main technical features and application of FR4 green sheet: electric insulation performance stability, good flatness, smooth surface, no pits, thickness tolerance standard, suitable for application in high performance electronic insulation requirements of products, such as FPC reinforcement plate, PCB drilling pad, fiberglass meson, potentiometer carbon film printing glass fiber board, precise tour stars gear grinding (chip), precision test plate, electrical equipment insulation stay clapboard, insulating plate, transformer insulation board, motor insulation parts, grinding gear and electronic switch insulation board, etc.

Aluminum substrate is a metal coated copper plate with good heat dissipation function. Generally, a single panel is composed of three layers, namely circuit layer (copper foil), insulation layer and metal base layer. For high-end use, it is also designed as a double panel with circuit layer, insulation layer, aluminum base, insulation layer and circuit layer. Very few applications are multi-laminates, which can be made of ordinary multi-laminates, insulation layer and aluminum base. LED aluminum substrate is PCB, which also means printed circuit board. But the material of the circuit board is aluminum alloy. In the past, the material of our general circuit board was glass fiber, but because LED heating is large, the circuit board used for LED lamps are generally aluminum substrate, which can conduct heat fast. The circuit board used by other equipment or electrical equipment is also glass fiber board.
